Opposite Photomontage

Goal:
The first aspect of the project is to create a portrait of opposites using images and texture. Second is to tell a story that engages the viewer by the juxtaposition of images you use. The last aspect of the project is to use the principle of design to help you tell your story.

Objective:
To learn Photoshop and how to use the pen tool, layers, layers mask, transparency and adjust the hue of an image. Also to learn how to incorporate scale, cropping, texture, balance, dominance and harmony and the use of graphic elements into a work of art.

What to do:
First tell a story. The story you are to convey is about opposites, wither it be ideas or beliefs. This project is to move you a way from using images that are just a collection of your hobbies or interest and create a dialogue among your two opposites.
For example if you like cars, I do not want you to have a collection of images of your favorite cars. Try and find out what cars represent or symbolize, and how could you represent the idea of opposite.
